Proper hygiene, health department, OSHA workplace requirements and climate conditions usually determine the required usage and optimum service requirements. In cold climates, not more than 36% saline solution should be used in the holding tank. Warm climate conditions will require larger amounts of chemically charged solution which, through evaporation, may reduce overall efficiency. Due to evaporation it is advisable to have access to the entire tank surface for proper cleaning and odor control.
